One of our favorite experiences this year was our trip to Huatulco in Oaxaca, Mexico.
We stayed at the beautiful Villa Escondida, located right on Playa Bocana, a left beach break.
Delicious local wine and beer were delivered to the villa by Arturo at Cava Chahue. One of our favorite evenings included a mezcal tasting at the mezcaleria under Villa Escondida.
Miguel from isuefmex was our unparalleled surf guide, and worked tirelessly to score us the best waves. We happened to be in town the week before the WSL contest and had the privilege of sharing the break with surfing greats Yago Dora and eventual contest winner Jack Robinson at the amazing barrel factory Barra de la Cruz. Corrie’s wrist was broken but she still managed to get up on a 7 ‘0’ 88, waterproof pink cast and all.
